I recently got to share a few AI tools with my students, tools that are already making a real difference. Last weekend, I joined and represented my school at the International School Partnerships’ Saturday Festival of Amazing Learning. It was my first time running a workshop with a crowd this diverse—principals, teachers from all levels, and experts from different fields.

It turned out to be just the kind of growth experience I was looking for. I had some solid takeaways on running workshops and, most importantly, real insights into how to help teachers get practical with AI in their classrooms.
During the workshop, I shared strategies for initiating meaningful conversations about AI in the classroom. I felt it was important to share this with every educator in the room so they could start the right conversations and set proper expectations for their students to use AI effectively. Google’s NotebookLM
I had the chance to introduce a few AI tools that bring practical benefits to both students and educators. One standout was Google's NotebookLM, a tool I found particularly exciting for its potential to transform learning.
Google’s NotebookLM allows students and teachers to interact with content in a whole new way. With the ability to summarize, organize, and explore ideas quickly, it's like having a personal assistant that not only boosts productivity but also sparks curiosity.
Imagine gathering complex ideas from various sources, summarizing them, and creating personalized resources or scripts for lesson plans. Teachers can also use NotebookLM to pull insights from different resources, quickly generate notes, and curate materials for diverse learning needs.
Here are two big key takeaways NotebookLM brings to personalised learning:
- Efficient Summaries: NotebookLM can condense long articles or research papers in minutes, helping teachers streamline lesson planning while keeping students on track with their curriculum.
- Customized Resources: Want a unique discussion prompt? Need a more interactive lesson? NotebookLM’s customization tools let teachers create notes and materials that directly align with what their students need.
Playbrary - A ChatGPT App
Another tool I highlighted is Playbrary. It transforms traditional storybooks into interactive, choose-your-own-adventure games where students make choices, face challenges, and see different outcomes based on their decisions. This approach fosters critical thinking and decision-making skills in a fun, immersive way.
Teachers can use Playbrary to turn lesson materials into story-based activities. Imagine students exploring a historical event, guiding a character through ethical dilemmas, or even navigating the steps of a science experiment. Each choice they make allows them to experience the consequences and learn more deeply.
This encourages students who find reading challenging to engage more actively and grasp the main concepts of storybooks in English Language classes.

It was an incredible opportunity to share these insights with fellow educators and explore the potential of AI tools in shaping the future of education. I'm excited to continue this journey and further refine my discoveries in AI.
